asian correspondent trisha takanawa is impressed with cameron highlands

borneo's vegetation is probably more interesting that that of the jungles at cameron highlands but CH is worth an eight and a half hour trip from singapore just because of its spectacular tea plantations (a pleasant smell and lucid green hills) and an easily approachable indigenous orang asli village.

i believe that quite a few lonely planet led lonesome travellers come to wander around orang asli every day. nevertheless, these seem rather apathetic to tourists with even kids playing their usual games and not bragging for your money or selling anything. or they simply might be smart enough to screen out the eagerness to pay.

it could also be that 'in order to preserve traditions of indigenous communities' malaysian government takes a good paternalistic care of orang asli and they can simply hang out in their usual routine without caring much about integrating to the external world.
