for seven hours we managed to save our shoes from getting muddy and wet. some of us even escaped a rather tempting swim in a waterfall. we took our time to notice yet another of those insect-hungry pitcher-plants or take a few picks of sad looking proboscis monkeys. but dusk brought monsoon and not only shoes but also lame aquafobic torchless treckers got a proper treatment by a rainforest.
hiding in the roof, we found a snake in the morning, and a sneaky macaque grabbed my lunch from the table. although i left when the first tide came in, jungle will be missed.
kuching's bar where a bunch of travelers met for a hammock, a session of pool or simply a tiger beer next night also had snakes. these ones, however, were just a misspell.
